From Felting Wool to Iconic Art Toy: The World of LuLu the Piggy

LuLu the Piggy comes from the imaginative universe of CiCi Story, created by independent artist Cici. 

Cici began as a handcraft artist, unveiling her first felted wool works in 2014. What started with soft fibers and handwork slowly evolved into something larger — a storytelling world where everyday objects become magical hiding places. 

In 2019, LuLu the Piggy officially stepped into the art toy scene and immediately stood out. Debuting at Shanghai STS Art Toy Shows, LuLu captured the attention of collectors with a simple but unforgettable idea: 
an elf popping out of a luncheon can. 

The contrast was irresistible — vulnerable yet playful, ordinary yet surreal. LuLu quickly gathered a loyal community affectionately known as “SPAM fans.” 

LuLu’s design continues to evolve, but the core spirit remains the same: curiosity, softness, and a quiet sense of humor that feels deeply human.
